Driver care day is organized first time in Vietnam by BVOT, Michelin Vietnam and co-organized by GS Battery Vietnam, FUSO Vietnam held in Giap Bat bus station, Hanoi. The program marks the long-term commitment of cooperation between the major brands of the automotive industry and in general supporting the driver community.
Alongside the Vietnamese drivers
We expect to bring a meaningful program to the driver both health and mental care as well as safety for vehicles on the national scale, Driver care day took place at Giap Bat Bus Station Hanoi for 2 days 1-2/ 11/2016.
This event gave the drivers services such as: taking blood pressure, eyesight test, instructing some simple exercises, free haircut services with exciting games, attractive and meaningful gifts.
Moreover, nearly 200 vehicles were taken care: GS maintained and consulted battery, BVOT scanned electronic error, Michelin checked tire, FUSO guided how to use vehicle safely, effectively.
Through checking and maintaining as well as advising on the battery, GSV technicians noticed many drivers (nearly 80%) still do not know how to maintain the battery properly, such as battery lack of electrolyte; the drivers have improper habits when filling dilute acid instead of distilled water.
These activities has expressed automotive brand’s concern and respect to the drivers. Since then, drivers can share their difficulties. This helps society change prejudice about drivers, who also help Vietnam develop.
Mr. Pham Minh Khoa – Driver of route Giap Bat – Nam Dinh told: "This event also brings truck driver sympathy. These simple activities, but considerate: take care health, hair cut, take care cars, present gifts,…make drivers warm. I also expect society will have positive attitude to drivers."
Driver care day will continue organizing at South truck station, District 12, HCM City on 2 days 8-9/11/2016. Official press conference will take place on 16/11/2016 at the Gem Center, HCMC.
